Summa acted as the financial advisor to Kesko Corporation in a series of divestment processes, both domestic and cross-border, during 2016 and 2017.

Among these, Kesko divested its K-maatalous agriculture trade chain unit and purchasing channel business to the Swedish Lantmännen in April 2017. In 2016, the net sales of the K-maatalous business operations were € 334 million and operating profit € 5.3 million.

The divestments supported Kesko’s strategy of focusing on the development of its retail activities in grocery trade, home improvement trade and car trade businesses.
